Dr. Christina Purnell To All Instructors

Christina Purnell is a teacher at our middle school and high school level. She is married to Simon Purnell and is a mother of 5 children whom she has homeschooled since 2011. Dr. Purnell grew up in Houston, TX, graduating from high school in 1991. She then graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995. She continued her studies, graduating from Texas A&M College of Medicine in 1999 and completed her residency in Pediatrics in Corpus Christi. She set aside her Pediatric practice in 2008 to raise and form her 5 children in their Catholic Christian faith. She schools mainly in the classical tradition which spans both academics and family life.

Dr. Purnell's family is from El Salvador and having spent many summers there she is fluent in Spanish. 

In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, and spending leisure time with her family, which now includes 2 granddaughters.
